Jay E. Lightfoot, 89, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away December 8, 2022 at Waynessboro Hospital.  He was born on March 7, 1933  in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania  to Charles  and Mary  (Henry) Lightfoot.  He was a barber for over fifty years in Chambersburg.  He liked horses, motorcycles, and attending political meetings in the area.  He enjoyed attending high school sporting events and Penn State Football.
     He is survived by his two sons:  Robert (husband of Barbara) Lightfoot of Chambersburg and Michael Lightfoot of Chambersburg.  He has seven grandchildren.  He is also survived by a sister, Violet Helm of Shippensburg.  He was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.
     A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00PM at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Chambersburg.  The family requests the omission of flowers and asks that memorial donations be sent to Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
