Jay Allen Myers, 76, of Mercersburg, PA, passed away April 8, 2026. He was born October 22, 1949, in Chambersburg, PA, the son of the late Ralph and Bertha (Zullinger) Myers . 

 

Jay worked at various places throughout his life. These included: Landis Machine for 12 years, Fairchild Industries for 3.5 years, and PME for 6 months, as well as both AMP and Tyco Electronics, each for 15 years. He was a member of the Mt. Tabor Brethren in Christ Church in Mercersburg, PA. 

 

Jay enjoyed hunting, working with wood, gardening, canning and butchering. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. He also loved being with his dog, Bella. 

 

Jay is survived by three sons, Mark Myers (Kamie), Rusty Myers (Jennifer), and Ryan Myers (April); five grandchildren, Connor (Megan), Dylynn, Ashley, Brooke, and Trinity; great-granddaughter Montana; as well as seven siblings, Kenneth Myers (Martha), Donald Myers (Shirley), Leroy Myers (Donna), Virginia Brindle (Robert), Linda Zeger (Bill), Denny Myers (Penny), and Sue Wingert (Kenny). 

 

In addition to his parents, Jay was preceded in death by his wife of  52 years, Sandra Myers, and a younger sibling, Mark Ralph Myers. 

 

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 1:00 PM,  at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., Chambersburg. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
