"Jean" Cramer, 98, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away October 29, 2021 at home with family by her side. She was born on February 13, 1923 in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania to James and Elsie (Demy) Brenner. She was the widow of the late William "Bill" Cramer who died in 1989. She had been employed at Grayline Hosiery in Chambersburg, Town & Country Dept. Store, and J.S. Hairstylist. She is a member of King Street United Brethren Church where she had helped in the nursery for 47 years. She was an avid golfer and was a member of Rocky Spring Golf Club, where she had won the Ladies Championship several times and was also a winner of the Ladies Partner Championship several times. In her career she had two holes-in-one, one at Rocky Spring and the other at Majestic Ridge Golf course. Her most important thing in her life was her family.
She is survived by her two daughters: Janis "Pidgie" (wife of Tom) Gruber of Chambersburg and Dru Cramer of Chambersburg. She has two grandsons: Mark Stannert, Michael (husband of Carrie) Cramer, and three great-grandchildren: Aleesha, Mason, & Dalaynee Cramer. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Cramer, a grandson, David Cramer, and a sister, Florence Frey.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday Nov. 6, 2021 at 10:30AM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., with Rev. Ron Cook officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be sent to Meals on Wheels, 43 W. Washington St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
