Jennifer Eileen Dede, 50, of Woodbridge, Virginia passed away May 3, 2023, in Maryland. She was born on May 24, 1972, in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania to Lansing Lewis and Barbara Jo (Kraly) Hoover.
Jennifer received her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. This led to working as a crossing guard for the Prince William County Police Department as well as weekend Police Desk receptionist. Most recently she worked at ACTS as a Domestic Violence Advocate helping victims receive shelter, food, and coordinate law enforcement needs. In her free time she enjoyed travel, movies, baking cakes, hand making jewelry and spending time with her children. Her favorite color was green and favorite animals are flamingos. She adopted a World Wildlife Foundation humpback whale named “Salt” as well as a flamingo currently residing at the National Zoo.
Jennifer is survived by her children, Mitchell Dede, Isabella Dede, Sophia Dede, Gabriel Dede, her mother Barbara Hoover, and her two cats Goose and Claudia. She was preceded in death by her father, Lansing Hoover as well as her cats Maverick and Indiana.
A funeral service for Jennifer will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, at 3:00 PM, at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., in Chambersburg, Pa. with Chaplain Keith officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., Chambersburg has been entrusted with her care.
