It is with sadness that Jimmie Alan Truett of Chambersburg, PA passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at Hershey Hospital at the age of 70. He was born December 24, 1955 in South Amboy, New Jersey, the son of Charles E. Truett Sr. and Elizabeth L. (Rhine) Truett Pierce. Jimmie attended Chambersburg Area Senior High School. He worked for Beck Manufacturing for 25 years and later retired from Letterkenny Army Depot. Jimmie was an avid duck hunter, and a member of the local Duck’s Unlimited Club, and he enjoyed boating at Lake Raystown. Jimmie especially enjoyed attending classic car shows with his 1970 Boss Mustang, and he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Jimmie is survived by his loving wife Esther (Pomeroy) Truett of 51 years, and daughters April Renee (Truett) Chamberlin (husband Christopher), and Melissa Sue (Truett) Cordell (husband Donald); grandchildren Drew Chamberlin, Rachel Chamberlin, Claire Cordell and Addison Cordell, as well as siblings Charles E. Truett Jr. and Sallie E. (Truett) Aldrich. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A “Celebration of Life” service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026 at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home Ltd., 725 Norland Avenue, Chambersburg, PA. The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 PM followed by Pastor Bobby Culler officiating at 7:30 PM. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

Jimmie will be remembered for the love he had for his family and the impact he made on those who knew him. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jimmie’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
