Joan Alloway Yeager, 89, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away August 1, 2021 at Laurel Lakes Nursing Home. She was born on May 9, 1932 in Hustontown, Pennsylvania to Jay and Mildred (Stevens) Alloway. She had retired from the Stanley Co. after 44 years and after retirement from Stanley Co. she did crafts and sold them at shows. She frequented Apple Harvest in Biglerville every October. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Joan is survived by her two children: Terri Yeager of Chambersburg and Jeffrey (husband of Rene) Yeager of Chambersburg. She has five grandchildren.. She also has nine great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Yeager in 2012, a great-grandson, a brother,, Earl Alloway and a sister, Dottie Duffey.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday Aug. 7, 2021 at Parklawn Memorial Gardens at 11:00AM with Rev. John Kratz officiating. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg has been entrusted with conducting the services. The family requests the omission of flowers and asks that donations be made in Joan's name to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 750 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
