Joseph M. White, 79, of Chambersburg PA passed away July 7, 2026.  He was born December 15, 1946, in Chambersburg PA.  The son of John and Marie (Florig) White.  

 

Joseph worked as a technical engineer for Armstrong World Industries for over 20 years.  His career took him all over the country and around the world.  

 

His passion for photography allowed him to start a business and later expand that passion into the world of scuba diving.  

 

Joseph’s interest in life saving, began early in his life as a lifeguard at Fort Letterkenny Chambersburg, PA.  He was recognized by President John F Kennedy for saving a life.  This expanded his interest as a first responder as a volunteer EMT with West End Ambulance in Millersville PA.  

 

Joseph is survived by his wife Susan D White, his son Bradley S White (and wife Dawn White and their daughter Riley M White), his son Michael White (and wife Jamie White and their son John K White) and his sister Patricia Jacobs Brodish.

 

Services will be held at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., 725 Norland Ave, Chambersburg PA 17201 on August 1st 2026.  A visitation will be held at 12:00 PM and the service will begin at 1:00 PM.
