Josephine Elizabeth (Ancona) Ruquet

Josephine Elizabeth Ruquet, 73, of Shippensburg, PA, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 at the Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, PA. Born May 24, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Anne (Ruggiero) Ancona. Josephine graduated from Pt. Jefferson Senior High School, Pt. Jefferson, NY in the Class of 1962. She was a Nurse’s Assistant working at Yaphank Infirmary, Yaphank, NY and later at Bellhaven Nursing Center, Bellport, NY. Josephine was an avid television watcher and enjoyed word puzzles. She loved spending time with her family. She was a member of Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church, Shippensburg. Josephine is survived by her two daughters, Maria Ruquet-Murray and her husband Christopher S. Murray, Sr., of Shoreham, NY, and Michelle Ruquet and her partner Jen S. Ingram, and one son, Herbert R. Ruquet and his partner Fourge Nexyst, two sisters, Marianne E. DeFrancesco and her husband Nick, and Carol F. Cavallaro and her husband Santo all of Shippensburg, and four grandchildren, Alexander J. Ruquet, Anthony S. Camacho, Destiny A. Camacho and Christopher S. Murray, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at the Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church, Shippensburg. The Rev. Fr. Joseph Carolin will be the celebrant. Entombment will immediately follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. The visitation will be will 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday June 20, 2017 at the Kelso Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg with vespers beginning at 7:30 PM.
