Joyce M. Lindner, 93, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away August 17, 2022, at home, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 14, 1929 in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, to Paul and Dorothy (Brandt) Martin. Following high school, Joyce worked for several years at the court house and The Chambersburg Trust Company. She was a member of King Street Church and the New Life Sunday School Class, and she volunteered for many ministries throughout her life. Joyce enjoyed bowling and gardening, especially roses. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Joyce is survived by her children Andrea L. (wife of Allen) Mowen, Douglas (husband of Debra) Lindner, her grandchildren, Juliana Mowen and Rebekah Mowen. She is also survived by her siblings Faye Cramer, Dale Martin, Cleone Hawkesworth, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. Lindner, her brothers, Marvin Martin and Wayne Martin, and her sister, Dorothy Martin.
A memorial service for Joyce will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 11:00 AM, at King Street Church in Chambersburg, with Rev. Ron Cook officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to King Street Church.
