Julia Eileen Geyer, 90, of St. Thomas, Pennsylvania passed away August 18, 2022. She was born on August 18, 1932 in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania to Arthur and Fannie (Dice) Shatzer. Julia worked at The Stanley Company for 45 years. She was a member of Edenville United Methodist Church. In her younger years, she enjoyed camping and riding motorcycles. Julia loved going to the Ft. Loudon Senior Center and gardening. She also loved fried chicken, ice cream, coffee and fudge, and especially loved spending time with her family.
Julia is survived by her daughter, Darlene Ditch, two granddaughters, Tammy Sue (wife of Douglas) Gardner and Billie Jo (wife of Brandon) Seibert. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Brittany Gardner, Jordan Mose, Bryston Mose, and Kirra Seibert, and her sister Hilda Coldsmith.
In addition to her parents, Julia is preceded in death by her husband Gerald Geyer, and her siblings, Dorothy Shatzer and Glenn Shatzer.
A funeral service for Julia will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at 11:00 AM, at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., Chambersburg, with Rev. Ron Cook officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM and for one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
