Karen M. (Shields) Fuller, 77, of St. Thomas, Pennsylvania passed away September 26, 2023, at Wellspan York Hospital. She was born on February 14, 1946, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania to Kenneth and Maxine Shields. Karen was a past president of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary Post 612. After retiring from Twoton Inc., where she was a restaurant general manager for over 20 years, her and Terry enjoyed traveling the east coast, visiting and collecting lighthouses. She was incredibly proud of her family and loved spending time with them.
Karen is survived by her daughters: Ellen (wife of Doug) Strickland of Chambersburg and Marianne (Jim Kyler) Young of Chambersburg and a son-in-law Jeffrey Young. She has five grandchildren: Kristin Reed, Terry J. Young, Katrina Bell, Sarah Young and Nathan Young, as well as nine great-grandchildren: Tucker, Logan, Emma, Claire, Kylie, Cole, Owen, Emmalyn and Olivia. She is also survived by a sister Sally (wife of Gary) George and a brother, Kenneth (husband of Audrey) Shields. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 56 years, Terry Lee Fuller.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 12:00 PM, at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., 6492 Lincoln Way W., St. Thomas, with Pastor Harold Yeager officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery.
