Kathryn Louise Group Obituary

Kathryn L. Group, 92, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away September 11, 2022 at Waynesboro Hospital.  She was born on September 17, 1929 in Greencastle, Pennsylvania  to Robert  and Alma  (Bear) Foreman.  Her most important thing in her life was her family, who she constantly prayed for their benefit.  She was a card enthusiast for all people and all occasions. She had been a farm wife and mother.  She was a member of Greencastle Church of God, but more recently had been attending First Assembly of God Church with her daughter and son-in-law.  She enjoyed attending Loving Hearts, Jolly Sixties, and luncheons with the Joy Girls.  
     She is survived by her five children:  Deborah (wife of Richard) Oberholzer of Greencastle, Deanna (wife of Carl) Hartman of St. Thomas,  Rhonda (wife of Ronald) Amon of Chambersburg, Zachary (husband of Patricia) Group of Chambersburg and Ryland  (husband of Annette) Group of Greencastle.  She has eleven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Anna Tarner.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Hayward Group in 2000, a son, Brian in 1975 and a grandson, Joshua in 2016 and two sisters; Alice Snider and Janet Miller and two brothers; Lloyd and Robert Foreman.  
     Funeral services will be conducted Friday Sept. 16, 2022 at 11:00AM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg with Pastor Darlene Stouffer and Rev. Josh Fowler officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow in Upton Church Cemetery.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.kelsocorneliusfh.com
