Kathy J. Wise

Kathy J. Wise, 58, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away November 4, 2023. She was born on March 23, 1965  in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania to Clarence and Pauline Pogue.

Kathy was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to so many. She enjoyed working alongside her husband Jim as a truck driver for many years. While she was a "tough cookie", she was also a loving, caring soul, that took pride in helping others. This aspect of her personality was highlighted during the years she worked as a CNA. 

Nothing could showcase her love and nurturing nature quite like her grandchildren. She adored her "babies" and absolutely loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed many different activities such as gardening, crocheting, playing Candy Crush and a good laugh with family and friends over a cup of coffee. Her dogs were her joy each day, and she was their world. Dogs have always had a special place in her heart.

Kathy is survived by her husband: James N. Wise Sr. Of Chambersburg, children: Tina M. Stevenson, Kellie Wise-Stanton(Chris), J.R. Wise(Mindy), Mandy J. Traxler (Brian), Richard R. Wise all of Chambersburg, as well as 11 grandchildren, 1great grandchild. She is also survived by siblings: Peggy Guyse of Phenix City, Al. Brother Jacob Pogue(Cindy) of Chambersburg, PA, Trudy Ness of Phenix City, AL and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Pauline Pogue, a brother Terry Pogue(Cindy) and a sister Wilma Bowmaster(Leroy). 

A celebration of life will be held at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., 725 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home.
