Keith Meyer Obituary

Keith Richard Meyer, 59, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026 surrounded by his family in Chambersburg, PA.

The eldest of three siblings, Keith was born on July 30, 1966, in Teaneck, NJ. The Meyer family moved to Western New York when Keith was in middle school and he would go on to graduate from R.L. Thomas High School in Webster, NY in 1984. He then studied Culinary Arts at Paul Smith's College (NY) and Johnson & Wales University (RI).

An exceptional problem-solver with a keen analytical mind, Keith worked in food services at several establishments before settling into a career in Quality Control at the Xerox Corporation. In recent years, he was an invaluable caregiver for his beloved mother and father. 

Keith was an avid gamer and card player, voracious reader, and connoisseur of television and film. He also loved to cook and bake with his family, particularly around the holidays. 

Keith is survived by his parents Richard Meyer and Caryl (Vath) Meyer of Chambersburg; sister Ellen (Meyer) Holtzman, brother-in-law Eric Holtzman, and niece Hannah Holtzman of Chambersburg; and brother David Meyer, sister-in-law Micki (Pannozzo) Meyer, and nephew James Meyer of Orlando, FL. Keith was predeceased by his grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

The family will hold a private ceremony to celebrate Keith’s life in the coming months with inurnment to follow at a later date.

The Meyer Family extends its gratitude to the dedicated caregivers who helped Keith navigate his health challenges with grace and dignity. Donations to the National Kidney Foundation, Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Fund, or Mercy House of Chambersburg are appreciated.
