Leesa Shawn Helman, 54, of Mercersburg, Pennsylvania passed away July 4, 2022 at home, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on August 17, 1967  in York, Pennsylvania  to Ethel Wingate. Leesa was a 1985 graduate of James Buchanan High School, and spent the majority of her life working for a local florist and as a legal secretary. She was very family oriented and enjoyed planning family parties and gatherings. She loved the beach, gardening, rock music, crafts, and yard saleing. Leesa enjoyed checking things off of her bucket list with her best friends.

Leesa is survived by her significant other of over 30 years, Mark Myers of Mercersburg, and her children, Erica (wife of Michael) Kershner of St. Thomas, and Tasha Myers of Mercersburg. She is also survived by her mother, Ethel Wingate of Ft. Loudon, two sisters, Donna (wife of Tony) Hubbard of Greencastle, and Louisa Wingate of Ft. Loudon, a granddaughter, Payton Kershner, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jackson and Dorothy Stevens.  

A visitation for Leesa will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., Chambersburg. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Norland Cemetery with Pastor Jay Thompson officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.kelsocorneliusfh.com.
