Lula C. Parson

Lula C. Parson, 89, of Spring Run, passed away May 30, 2026. She was born January 24, 1937, in Three Springs, PA, the daughter of Roy M. and Rebecca E. (Meck) O’Donnell. Lula belonged to the Franklin County Farm Women, Path Valley Division. She worked for many years as a Commonwealth of PA election poll worker. She enjoyed puzzles and reading, and loved spending time with her family, especially their vacations and Sunday’s together. 

Lula is survived by two daughters, Teresa (wife of Terry) Crouse and Stephanie (wife of the late William “Denny”) Rotz; four grandchildren, Amanda (wife of Craig) Robinson, Kristen Eaton, William Rotz III and Morgan (wife of Kenny) Hershey; great-granddaughter Emma Eaton, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orville H. Parson; a son, Steven O. Parson; son-in-law Denny Rotz,  brothers, Harry, Clair, Walter, Robert, Richard and Kenny O’Donnell; sisters, Omena Sheeder, Daisy Evitts, Julia Boppe, Gladys Watkins and Fay Peterson. 

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 1:00 PM, at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., Chambersburg, with Pastors Darwin Goshorn, Marlin “Butch” Neil, and John Semple officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
