It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Lynda Susan (Hortsch) Miedema, 69, of Chambersburg, PA, she passed away peacefully in her home on July 2, 2025 with her devoted husband, Thomas John Miedema by her side.

Tom and Lynda celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary just a few months prior, on March 17th. Lynda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be lovingly remembered by her children: Maria Lynn & (Greg) Garner and Thomas John & (Paula) Miedema; grandchildren Alexandra Marie & (Jacob) Barr, Ariana Nicole Werder, Caleb James Garner and Anabela Marie Miedema; sisters Patricia (Hortsch) Bohm and predeceased Carol (Hortsch) Kubik; three nieces and three nephews.

She will also be dearly missed by her friends at Virginia Avenue Church of God, Hagerstown, MD.

A celebration of Lynda’s life will be held on July 22, 2025 at 2:00pm at The Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201
