Mary Catharine “Kate” (Knable) Strait, 84, of Chambersburg, PA quietly passed away on Friday August 5, 2022. She was born on October 14, 1937. She is the daughter of the late Jabez and the late Gladys (Schetromph) Knable.

She is preceded in death by her husband Junior Strait whom she married February 5, 1955 as well as her five siblings.

Mary “Kate” Strait is survived by her sister Mildred "Mid" Stotler; her four children Jeffrey Strait, Christine Campbell, Daniel Strait, and Steven Strait; her four grandchildren Talaina (Strait) Gembe, Kellie Strait, Jasmine Campbell, and Eric Campbell and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., Chambersburg. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM before the service. 

In lieu of sending flowers, the family would love for you to plant roses in her memory. One of her most favorite flowers which also symbolizes beauty and a long life.
