Max Yablonski Obituary

Max Leon Yablonski, III, 36, of Mercersburg, Pennsylvania, passed away July 3, 2024 at home after a battle with cancer. He was born on November 26, 1987 in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania to Max Yablonski, Jr, and Lisa (Buterbaugh) Covert.

Max enjoyed reading, traveling, music, hunting, fishing, golfing and baseball. He worked at D. L. Martin and enjoyed spending time with his friends from there. He loved the Lord and preaching to his brother. Sarcasm was his first language, LOL. He loved his nieces and nephews even though he called them his little brats. In his world, the most important thing was family and peace.

Max is survived by his mother, Lisa Covert, step-father Sam Covert, father Reuben (husband of Lace) Egolf, brothers Byron (husband of Sara) and Taylor (fiance of Summer Hoover) Egolf, nieces and nephews; Liam, Ruby, Ellie, Jewel and Rainn. He is also survived by numerous grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, which he loved. He was preceded in death by his father, Max Yablonski, Jr, grandmother Mary Buterbaugh, grandfathers Robert Buterbaugh, Harold Egolf, Max Yablonski, and uncles Bubby and Mike Buterbaugh.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 10:00 AM, at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., 6492 Lincoln Way W., St. Thomas, PA, 17252, with Pastor Clint Taylor officiating.
