Michael Allen McNew, 49, of Fayetteville, Pennsylvania passed away August 8, 2023 at the Chambersburg Hospital. He was born on June 13, 1974, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania to Larry McNew and Kay (Beck) Heavner. Michael was a dedicated employee and mentor at Alpha Space Control. He loved being outdoors, cooking for family, racecars, tractor pulls and any type of event that involved motor sports.  

Michael is survived by his parents Kay (wife of Ron) Heavner and Larry McNew, children Jacob McNew and Shawn (fiance Sierra) McNew, granddaughter Ryleigh McNew, niece Shelby Kadel, aunts and uncles, Evelyn Dale, Larry Beck and Kenneth Beck Jr, and Sue and Rick Frutiger, as well as many loving cousins.  He was preceded in death by his sister Melissa Backman, step-mother Brenda McNew, aunt Peggy Riggins, cousin Colleen Craig and maternal grandmother Ruth Brookens.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at 2:00PM at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., Chambersburg with Pastor Matthew Kayhart officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
