Millie Blevins, 87, of Temple, Texas, formerly of Chambersburg, passed away August 27, 2021 at Winnie L. Nursing Home, Cameron, Texas. She was born on May 7, 1934 in Broad Top City, Pennsylvania to Edward and Arvada Price Corrie. She had been head of the Cytopathology Laboratory at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas. She had attended Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Mass. where she played basketball on the college team. She was a member of the Temple Church of the Nazarene, where she was very active.
She is survived by her three sons: Ronald Blevins of Abilene, TX. , Barry (husband of Michelle) Blevins of Mansfield, Tx. and William Blevins of Temple, TX. She has five grandchildren: Matthew Eugene Crist, Jacob Blevins, Luke Blevins, Grace M. Blevins, and Kaela Shea Blevins.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday Sept 8, 2021 at 11:00AM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd. The family will receiving friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 till 8:00PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
