Nancy Jane McIntire

Nancy J McIntire, 83, of Fayetteville PA passed away peacefully at home on Saturday June 6, 2020.  Nancy was born October 6, 1936  to the late Richard C and Glencora (Bovard) McIntire of Chambersburg PA.

Nancy was a graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior high class of 1955.  After years of living in Scwenksville PA and working in Philadelphia, Nancy retired and moved back to the Chambersburg Area to be near her family and lifetime church Greenwood Hills Bible Conference.

Since retirement Nancy enjoyed spending time with her much loved dog Spencer and former dog OJ, family and friends. Nancy had been an avid volunteer at local nursing homes. She also worked at various jobs on the grounds at her church, Greenwood Hills Bible Conference.

Nancy is survived by her sister Janet L Arnold of Chambersburg, Nephew Richard L. Arnold and wife Deborha of Shippensburg, Nephew Daniel E Arnold and wife Linda of Shippensburg, Niece Deborah K Borzager and husband John of Chambersburg,  Niece Linda R. Kuffa and husband Brian of Boiling Springs, several great nieces and nephews, great- great nieces and nephews as well as cousins.  Nancy was preceded in death by an infant sister,  Delores McIntire and her brother-in-law Ronald E Arnold of Chambersburg.

Nancy was a much-loved  sister, Aunt and friend and will be greatly missed. Due to the restrictions placed upon the family by the COVID-19 pandemic, a private grave side service will be held for the family on Friday. A public memorial will be held on Saturday, June 20th at the Greenwood Hills Bible Conference at 1 pm.

In lieu of flowers, Nancy and her family would appreciate donations to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter in Chambersburg PA.  Nancy had adopted several animals from the CV shelter and would have encouraged many others in doing the same.
