Nancy A. (Piper) Rife, age 78, entered into the gates of Heaven peacefully on August 7, 2022. She was surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was born January 25, 1944, in Chambersburg, PA to Truman William Piper and Dessie Irene (Mayhugh) Piper.  She was preceded in death by her late husband Eber J Rife Jr

She was married to Eber J Rife Jr. on June 23, 1962. Nancy was employed by Tropical Treat, The Stanley Company, The Valley Bank and, later in life, drove a bus for Meyers Bus Line.  Nancy attended St. James United Brethren Church. Nancy, and her late husband Eber, were avid travelers, who enjoyed seeing new things. After Eber's death, Nancy continued traveling by being an active member of the GO Club with her Niece, Kay Estep.  She was a very dedicated mother, grandmother, great grandmother and was very involved in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Nancy didn't miss an opportunity to attend her children's and grandkids' sporting events. Nancy enjoyed hosting numerous holidays and family gatherings at their home.  She loved spending time with her family, enjoyed going on beach trips, eating out with family and friends, picking berries and gardening.

Nancy is survived by her son Jeffrey K. Rife (Valerie) Greencastle, PA, two daughters Kimberly A. Fore, Chambersburg, PA, Lisa S. Stahl (Tony) Chambersburg, PA, and ten grandchildren Brandy M. Jackson,(Brandon) Chambersburg, Pa, Shawna D. Fore, Fayetteville, Pa, Corey N. Rife (Julia), Greensburg, PA, Breann N. Hall (Jason), Upper Strasburg, PA, Allee R. Ramsey (Matt), St. Thomas, PA, Blake A. Stahl, Denver, CO, Tyler B. Fore, Chambersburg, PA, Mitchell E. Stahl, Los Angeles, CA, McKenna J. Rife, Greencastle, PA, Annika V. Rife, Greencastle, PA, and 11 great-grandchildren Lacee L. Fore, Bryce T. Stiver, Fayetteville, PA, Kohen S. Jackson, Keaten J. Jackson, Chambersburg, PA, Harper J. Ramsey, Landon C. Ramsey, Savannah A. Ramsey, St. Thomas, PA, Peighton D. Hall, Parker L. Hall, Carson G. Hall, Jensen E. Hall, Upper Strasburg PA.

She is survived by one sister Mary (Piper) Vanhorn and one brother Carl Piper. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Truman and Dessie, brothers William, Donald Sr, Earl, and Sister Alma June Martin.    

A funeral service for Nancy will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 12:00 PM with Pastor Keith Siders officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, and for one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday. Interment will be held at Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
