Patrick Higgins

Patrick Higgins, 83, of Chambersburg, PA passed away on May 2nd, 2026. He was born on January 12th, 1943 in Naugatuck, Connecticut to the late Martin and Mary (Tyszkiewicz) Higgins.

Patrick graduated from UCONN in 1964 and then commissioned into the U.S Air Force in 1965. He served 5 years, including a year in South East Asia in support of the Vietnam War and was awarded a Bronze Star. He left the service in 1970 as a Captain and had a long and successful career in the Insurance industry. He retired in 2007 and spent his time with his family, enjoying his many hobbies. He volunteered with many VFW Posts and he served as Post Commander in Greencastle, PA.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Mary Ann Higgins, son; Michael Higgins, his wife Libby, and 2 grandchildren; Andrew and Gregory Higgins

He is preceded in death by his son: Patrick M. Higgins and sister: Mary Higgins.

There will be no services. In lieu of flowers a donation in Patrick’s name can be made to the St. Judes Children Hospital or VFW Post 6219 in Greencastle, PA.
