Pauline K. Shearer

Pauline K. Shearer, 92, resident of Menno Haven, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away May 28, 2023, at Chambersburg Hospital. She was born on May 9, 1931, in Worcester, Montgomery County, PA, to Allen K. and Katie S. Kriebel. She was a graduate of Lansdale High School and Penn State University with a degree in Home Economics. She taught in the Newport High School and was a caseworker for the Columbia County Board of Assistance. Pauline was a member of the First Lutheran Church and Lutheran Church Women. She was also a member and past president of the Norland Garden Club, as well as a member of the Falling Spring Chapter 2840 of AARP, the Red Cross Board of Directors, Chambersburg Community Concert Association, Penn State Club of Franklin County and the Penn State Alumni Association. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for 25 years. 

Pauline is survived by her husband of almost 70 years, John Z. Shearer and her children, Kenneth (husband of Sharon) Shearer of Fayetteville, PA and Patricia Ann (wife of Paul) Leggett of Waynesboro, PA. She is also survived by her grandson, Chandler (husband of Christina) Shearer of Chambersburg, PA and a great-grandson, Ashton John Shearer. In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her sister, Marie and two brothers, Floyd and Everett. 

A funeral service for will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., 725 Norland Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201, with Pastor Jane Nicholson officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. A private family burial will be held at Norland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Menno Haven's Benevolent Fund, 1425 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA, 17201.
