Preston M. Frey

Rev. Preston M. Frey, 90, of , 1871 Philadelphia Ave, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away April 17, 2022 at Restore Health in Shippensburg, where he had resided for the past two years.  He was born on June 29, 1931  in Fayetteville, Pennsylvania  to David B.  and Fannie E. (Martin) Frey.  He had been a  farmer in Chambersburg,  had worked at The Barnyard in Gettysburg for 25 years,  and had been a minister at Chambersburg Mennonite Church for 35 years.  He enjoyed singing, reading and spending time with his family.  
     He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Lorraine M. (Eby) Frey and their seven children; Glenda K. (wife of Rodney) Small of Chambersburg, Lavonda M. (wife of Clark) Patterson of Fayetteville, Dean E. (husband of Ruth Ann) Frey of Chambersburg, Regina S. (wife of Myron) Brubaker of Mt. Crawford, VA., Charlene M. (wife of Larry) Frey of Chambersburg, Lynn E. (husband of Hope) Frey of Chambersburg, and Duane L. Frey of Chambersburg.  He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by five grandchildren and a son-in-law, Paul Slabach.  He has been preceded in death by his siblings:  Irvin Frey, Lista Martin, Catherine Martin, Adin Frey, Miriam Horst, Beulah Shank and Lois Martin.
     Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 10:00AM at the Chambersburg Mennonite Church with Pastors Jerry Roth, Jere Horst, and Dale Lehman officiating.  The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 PM at the church and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.  Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Cumberland Valley Relief Center, Meat Canning Project, 4225 Molly Pitcher Highway, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
