Ralph E. Rubeck, age 73, of Greencastle, passed away January 15, 2014 at John Hopkins. He was born Sept. 29, 1940 in Clear Spring, MD. The son of the late Allen L. Sr. & Ethel Mae Bivens Rubeck. He had been a finish carpenter for John R. Oliver Construction in Hagerstown, Perini Construction in Hagerstown, S& S Construction, and Brim Builders in Chambersburg. He was a member of Freedom Lighthouse Ministries in Ft. Loudon. He was a Charter Member of Two Top Ruritan of Mercersburg. He was a member of Mount Pisgah Lodge #0443 in Greencastle, PA and South Penn Scottish Rite Club of Harrisburg. He enjoyed hunting, NASCAR, tractor pulls and restoring antique lawn tractors and restored hit and miss engines.
He is survived by his three daughters: Donna (wife of Rodney) Young of Greencastle, Rebecca (wife of James Jr.) Pentz of Greencastle, and Brenda (wife of Justin) Anderson of St. Thomas. He has ten grandchildren; Heather, Holly, Nichole, Lacey, Chandler, Dustin, Michael, Lindsey, Katelyn and Aspen and one great-grandchild Brechyn and a brother, Allen Rubeck Jr. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary E. Rubeck, who died Oct. 29, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, January 20, 2014 at Antrim Brethren In Christ Church with Rev. Kenneth Cornelius and James Martin officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 PM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, St. Thomas and one hour prior to the service at the church.
