Rebecca E. (Martin) Lehman, 98, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away June 17, 2026. She was born on January 15, 1928, in Hagerstown, MD, the daughter of Daniel S. and Mary (Sollenberger) Martin. Rebecca was a member of the Chambersburg Mennonite Church. She was an active volunteer at MCC Cumberland Valley Relief Center blessing countless people worldwide with school kit bags, layette bundles, soap making and more.

 

Rebecca is survived by children, Susan E. (wife of Earl D.) Showalter, Ellen L. White, Myron R. (husband of Denise W.) Lehman, Sara L. (wife of John B.) Person, and Erma J. (wife of Randy L.) Shaffer; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edgar W. Lehman; son Mark R. Lehman; siblings Menno Martin, Maurice Martin, Anna Eby, James Martin and Silas Martin.

 

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Chambersburg Mennonite Church. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., 725 Norland Ave, Chambersburg, as well as for one hour prior to the service at the church. 

 

Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. 

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Rebecca’s name may be made to the Cumberland Valley Relief Center.
