Obituary

Richard (Dick), 70, of Sherman's Dale, PA, passed away, May 29, 2022 at Wellspan Chambersburg Hospital, PA, as a result of complications from a severe stroke, on May 4, 2022. He was born on May 3, 1952, in Carlisle, PA to Paul E. Dick and Betty L. (Hockenberry-Dick) Addlesberger.
Dick graduated in 1970 from Carlisle Senior High School, majoring in Building Trades Vocation. He was raised on a dairy farm located off Enola Road, North Middleton Township. After many years of farming, his interests lead him to working in construction, logging timber-pulp wood, back to farming, and a large truck hauling driver.
He was a hard-working man, often taking time out to party hard, and on numerous occasions, enjoying a great meal at the Hamilton Restaurant, in Carlisle.
Dick is survived by his mother-Betty (Hockenberry) Addlesberger; his brothers Ricky L. Dick (USN, Ret.) - wife Jeri L. (Simmons) Dick, and Terry L. Dick - wife Lesa (Shuman) Dick; Sisters Julene D. (Dick) Mccullough - her husband James Mccullough, Brenda L. (Dick) Fisher - her partner Butch Whorton, and Carla J. (Dick) Roles; numerous nephews, nieces, and great nephews and nieces.
In addition to his father Paul, he was preceded in death by his loving daughter, Christie Dick.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., Chambersburg has been entrusted with these arrangements.
