Richard Lee Kissel, 78, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023. Mr. Kissel retired from US Department of Commerce, National Institutes of Science & Technology (NIST) after 31 years of service with the Federal Government. Easter Sunday, 2022, Richard retired as the pastor of Grace Family Fellowship after 20 years of service.
Mr. Kissel is survived by his wife of 55 years, Henrietta Chumbley Kissel, daughters, Lisa J. Kissel Pinder (Gary), April J. Kissel, Gina K. Kissel Montgomery (Jason) and two sons, Christopher S. Kissel and Kevin N. Kissel (Erin). He is also survived by his 2 sisters, Connie Kissel and Nita Lindsey, as well as 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
The private family service will be officiated by Pastor Daniel Gehr. The family welcomes donations to the Alzheimer's Association as an expression of sympathy instead of flowers.
