Richard E. Rockwell Sr.,  96, of Chambersburg, passed away November 7, 2025. He was born July 2, 1929, in Mercersburg, PA, the son of Miner S. and Blanche W. (Gorsuch) Rockwell. He was married to Laura (Hendershot) Rockwell on May 15, 1948. Richard was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Chambersburg. He was an owner of Laurich Company in Chambersburg.

Richard is survived by four children: Richard E. (husband of Kathy) Rockwell Jr. of Hagerstown, MD., Mary Elizabeth Rockwell, Jeffrey T. (husband of Tina) Rockwell and Gregory L. (husband of Susan) Rockwell, all of Chambersburg. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild. 

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Laura H. Rockwell, in 2007, grandchild Amanda Rockwell, and siblings; Miner, John, Carissa, and Anna Mary.   

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Parklawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Murvin Camatchee officiating.
