Richard Runyon, 73, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away October 25, 2022 at Chambersburg Hospital.  He was born on October 17, 1949  in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania  to Norman  and Pearl  (Jones) Runyon.  He was a member of Chambersburg Baptist Church, where he had been very active.  He had been a janitor at the Chambersburg High School for several years, and then became a self employed painter.
     Richard is survived by his five children:  Kim Runyon of Frederick, Md., Kathy Scatena of Shippensburg, Lisa Runyon of Orlando, FL., Glen Runyon of Chambersburg and Thomas Runyon of Chambersburg.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Hockenberry Runyon.
     Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday Nov. 2, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg with Pastor Kenny Craig officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
