Obituary
Richard T. Snively, 80, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away April 13, 2023, at Chambers Pointe. He was born on May 31, 1942, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania to Samuel and Beulah (Jones) Snively. Richard served in the Army Reserves and worked for the Chambersburg Police Department for 17 years. He was then an Investigator for the Public Defender's Office of Franklin County from which he retired. He enjoyed carpentry and wood working and loved animals.
Richard is survived by his son Ted Snively, grandchildren Teddy Snively and Robbie Snively, step-grandchild Zachari Fisher, sisters, Nancy Mouse and Shirley Montgomery and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Snively, a grandson, Joshua Snively, two brothers and five sisters.
A private family ceremony will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Rd W, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
