Robert Andrews, 93, of St. Thomas, Pennsylvania began his new life February 10, 2024, at Mercy House of Chambersburg. He was born on June 2, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois to Francis and Stephanie (Martinka) Andrews. He served from 1948 until 1952 in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He married Margaret (Peggy) Montgomery in 1958. They were married 46 years. He and his wife retired to Florida in 1992. Robert returned to Pennsylvania in 2012 and has resided there since.

He was a life member of the Chambersburg VFW and the St. Thomas American Legion. He also served on the Chambersburg Council of Knights of Columbus and the Knights of Columbus Council in Hudson, Florida. During his earlier years in Wisconsin and while in Florida, Robert liked to fish. He enjoyed carving wood, telling stories, and going to dances at the Knights of Columbus.

Robert is survived by his daughters, Barbara (Tim) Hammond, Mary Mills, five grandchildren; Luke (Dawn) Hammond, Joe (Andrea) Hammond, Zachary Mills, Pam Hammond, Jimmy (Mishey) Hammond, eight great-grandchildren and a brother Jerome Andrews of Oakdale, CA.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife Margaret and his son-in-law, Michael Mills.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the mass. His cremains will be interred at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mercy House of Chambersburg, 730 Norland Avenue, Chambersburg, PA, 17201.
