He was a longtime resident of Chambersburg and was residing at Chambers Pointe Retirement Community on Philadelphia Avenue.

Bob was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is predeceased by his adoring wife, Barbara Ann Rohrer Fogal, who passed in 2013 and brothers, Dick and Jim, and sister Jane Wright. He leaves behind two sisters, Dolly Miller and Peggy Kolb (Bill) both of Chambersburg and daughters, Kim McKernan (Bob) of Alexandria, VA, and Theresa Hess of Clearwater, FL and sons, Bob Fogal, Jr. (Tammy) of Shippensburg, PA, and Matt Fogal (Dana) of Chambersburg, PA.  Bob was blessed with seven grandchildren: Dr. Sommer Williams of Denver, CO, Spencer Pheil (Brechyn) of Fayetteville, PA, Rachel Pheil of Clearwater, FL, Alex Fogal of Shippensburg, PA, Karli Kearns (Nathan) of Chambersburg, PA, Kyle McKernan of Chicago, IL, and Ryan McKernan of New York, NY, along with six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Bob and Barb were active members of the Open Door Church where he served as a church elder. He was a sports enthusiast with a special passion for tennis. He was a very accomplished and competitive tennis player who played well into his senior years. He was a huge Washington Redskins (Commanders) fan and followed NASCAR racing. Bob always thanked his blessings for his adoring family and wonderful life each time we visited him in recent years.

Bob was a successful businessman who founded his company, International Marketing, Inc., at a young age and grew the business to become a worldwide venture including Europe and Australia. He was awarded several patents and received industry recognition for developing new products. His employees described him as “a man of honor and integrity with a heart of gold and a wonderful example of a successful entrepreneur.” The company contributed to various charities over the years such as Young Life. He volunteered at the Salvation Army serving meals on Christmas Day. Bob was extremely generous and was always the first to offer help to friends and family in need.
