Ronald L. Funk, 84, went to be with Jesus his Savior on December 19, 2024. He was born August 24, 1940 in PA. He was the son of the late Wallace L. and Jane I. (Weller) Funk. He graduated from James Buchanan in 1959.

In his early life he farmed, then later worked as a rural letter carrier in Mercersburg for 33 years. He also worked at Smith’s Implements. He enjoyed hunting. He was a member of the Upton Brethren Church.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Martha (Byers) Funk, and 4 children; daughter Deana Meyers (Leon) of Chambersburg, son Neil Funk (Wanda) of Bethel, PA, son Matthew Funk (Renee) of Mercersburg, and daughter Rhonda Stewart (Ernie) of Mercersburg. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and a brother Harold Funk (Linda) of Mercersburg. He was preceded in death by his parents and one great-grandchild.

A funeral service will be held at Upton Brethren Church at 10:30 AM on December 27, 2024 with Pastor Carl Ocker officiating. Visitation will be December 26, 2024 from 2:00 until 4:00 PM and from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, and also for one hour prior to the funeral service, both at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mercy House of Chambersburg. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., Chambersburg has been entrusted with these arrangements.
