Ronald “Ron” Clinton Quesenberry, 77, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, following a brave five-year battle with cancer.
Born on August 11, 1948, in Draper, Virginia, Ron was the son of the late Emmett Clinton Quesenberry and Mary Elizabeth Quesenberry. He was raised in Hillsville, Virginia, where he built the foundation of his strong values, humor, and dedication to family and hard work.
In 1968, Ron proudly enlisted in the United States Navy, serving aboard a USS destroyer as part of the ASROC Guard and as an Honor Guard at Arlington National Cemetery. He was deeply honored to serve his country and carried that pride throughout his life.
After his military service, Ron began a long and fulfilling career with Leaseway Transportation Corporation in 1974, where he worked until his retirement in 2007. A proud member of the Teamsters Union, he took great pride in his profession and enjoyed sharing countless stories from his years on the road delivering GM vehicles.
Ron is survived by his devoted wife and soulmate of 57 years, Justine Elizabeth (Orazio) Quesenberry; three loving children, Michelle Stickles, Ronald Quesenberry (Lisa), and Susan Gregory (Derek); and his cherished grandchildren, Katie (Ryan), Samantha, Emily (Josh), Lynnzie, Isaiah, Brooke, Ryan, and Isabel. He was also blessed with ten great-grandchildren who brought him endless joy.
He is further survived by his brothers, Wayne (Cindy) and Dean (Cathy) Quesenberry, and by many nieces and nephews, all of whom lovingly knew him as “Uncle Ron.”
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Gerback.
Ron will be remembered as one of the kindest souls you could ever meet—his quick wit, humor, and lighthearted spirit touched everyone around him. Even through his toughest days, he never lost his sense of humor or his ability to make others smile. If you were fortunate enough to call Ron a friend, you were truly blessed.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Grane Hospice Center for their compassionate care and for ensuring Ron’s final moments were peaceful and dignified.
