Ruby J. Wenger, 85, of St. Thomas, Pennsylvania went to be with the Lord February 20, 2024. She was born on June 16, 1938 in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania to John and Phoebe (McNew) Brookens. She and her husband owned C&R Produce for 15 years. Ruby enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles and gardening. She loved spending time with her family, especially meals on Wednesday nights and visiting with her sisters.

Ruby is survived by her children Michael (Cheryl) Wenger, Chet (Stephanie) Wenger, Holly (Darrin) Fahnestock, step-children; Wendell (Tammy) Wenger, Rodney (Eyona) Wenger, Bridget (Danny) Hammond and Norman (Mary) Wenger, three grandchildren; Stephen Wenger, Amanda Wollaston and Dillon Wenger, three great-grandchildren and many step-grandchildren/great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three siblings Joyce Dehart, Garnet Brookens and Dixie Simpson and sister-in-law Judith (Harold) Appleby. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband Chester E. Wenger, step-daughter Candace Vaughn, and ten siblings.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Cornerstone Church of Christ, 1350 Tallow Hill Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202, with Pastor Robert Hart officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery.
