Samuel Ebersol Obituary

Samuel F. Ebersol, age 94, of Chambersburg, went home to be with the Lord May 8, 2024, at home surrounded by all his children. He was born on October 19, 1929, in Narvon, Pennsylvania to Amos and Lydia (Fisher) Ebersol. Samuel was married to Mary (Stoltzfus) Ebersol on Nov. 19, 1953. Mary preceded him in death on December 16, 2015.  He was a member of Culbertson Mennonite Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Samuel is survived by his five children: Annie Ebersol of Chambersburg, PA, Priscilla (wife of Douglas) Bates of Chambersburg, PA, Paul (husband of Gloria) Ebersol of Chambersburg, PA, Elvin (husband of Agnes) Ebersol of Milton Freewater, OR, and Merle (husband of Marilyn) Ebersol of Bethel, PA. He has 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by a daughter Lydia Mae, a granddaughter, Dawn, one sister and three brothers. He was the last of his siblings to pass.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Culbertson Mennonite Church, 5730 Sunset Pike, Chambersburg, PA 17202. The family will receive friends for a viewing on Monday, May 13, 2024, from 2:00 until 4:00 PM and from 6:00 until 8:00 PM also at the church. Interment will be held at Culbertson Mennonite Church Cemetery.
