Samuel "Mark" Stoltzfus, age 53 of St Thomas, PA passed away from a work related accident on Friday, August 8, 2025.  He was a devoted husband to Rachel Shetler Stoltzfus with whom he celebrated 23 years of marriage on November 10.  He was born in Ronks, PA son of Susanna Petersheim Stoltzfus and the late Samuel S. Stoltzfus.

He was a loving father to Caleb Stoltzfus and Benjamin Stoltzfus, both at home.

He is survived by 6 siblings: Marvin, husband of Ruth Stoltzfus Stoltzfus of Leola, Mahlon Stoltzfus of Ronks, Rose, wife of David Beiler of Winfield, PA, Joy Stoltzfus of Gordonville, Matthew, husband of Jewel Stoltzfus Stoltzfus of Gordonville and Sharon Stoltzfus of Gordonville.

Mark was a member and pastor of Grace Haven Mennonite Church. He was the owner of Keystate Transport and the manager for J & L Haysavers, LLC.

Mark enjoyed spending time with his family,  and lived a life dedicated to helping and encouraging others, going the extra mile to support those in his community, as well as those he loved.  A gentle man of quiet wisdom and genuine kindness he was known for being a patient, steadfast presence; always willing to offer a supportive shoulder and a listening ear. His encouraging words, often accompanied by a heartfelt prayer brought comfort and guidance to countless family members and friends throughout his life. He had a gift for delivering a perfectly timed observation or a witty one-liner that resonated long after the laughter subsided. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His greatest desire in life was that all would come to know Christ and with him experience the joys of Heaven together.

Funeral service will take place at St Thomas Methodist Church, 360 St Thomas-Edenville Rd St Thomas, Pa 17252 on Wednesday, August 13 at 11AM. There will also be a viewing at the church on Tuesday, August 12 from 2 to 4pm and again from 6 to 8pm.

Interment will be at Edenville Methodist Church 2504 Apple Way Chambersburg PA 17202.
