Sarah L. (Robinson) Gochenauer, 76 of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully January 3, 2024, at the Chambersburg Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born August 17, 1947, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Floe (Trace) Robinson.
Sarah attended the Chambersburg High School. She married Ralph W. Gochenauer on January 29, 1965, and they remained married until his passing on November 22, 2015. She was employed early in her life at Nichols Department store and then later in life at Kmart from which she retired. Sarah enjoyed spending time with her grand kids and great-grand kids, scrapbooking and attending tractor pulls with her husband.
She is survived by her son Rodney Gochenauer and wife Cheri, daughter Sherry Bigler and Fiancé, Kenneth Helfrick, grandchildren Heidi Wenger and companion Robert Stratton, Corey Gochenauer and companion Cassandra Peters, and Courtney Gochenauer; great-grandsons, Rylan Stratton, Johnnathan Gochenauer, and Cole Gochenauer, and great-grand daughter, Caillie Gochenauer. Sarah is also survived by sisters, Nancy Johnson, Betty Clugston and Peggy Melius, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by a sister, Delores Swanger, and two brothers, George Robinson and Donald Robinson.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. A celebration of life service will take place at a later date.
