Sharon (Houck) Emerick 70, of Edenville PA sadly passed away on June 22, 2024 at the Chambersburg Hospital.

Sharon was born on July 5, 1953 in Huntingdon County, PA to Edward and Jean (McCue) Houck. She grew up in St. Thomas and Edenville PA, the oldest of five. She attended James Buchanan High School and Franklin County Votech. She married Paul Emerick on July 14, 1979. Sharon later earned her nursing degree and began a career that she adored.

 Sharon loved being a nurse and helping others. She spent the majority of her nursing career at  Quincy United Methodist Nursing Home and at Manor Care. Sharon was an avid NASCAR fan, cookbook collector, made the best macaroni salad, loved cats, and enjoyed making crafts of all sorts. She liked nothing more than a cup of coffee, a cheeseburger, and a good book. Sharon’s greatest joy was being a grandmother and her grandchildren were the light of her life.

Beloved mother and grandmother will be greatly missed, Sharon is survived by her  children Michael Patterson, Jeffery Patterson, and Wendy (Emerick) Rauhut. She also leaves behind Grandchildren (Adam, Lydia, D.J., Aaron, Sophie, Nora, Tyler, & KC)  and 10 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul W. Emerick, daughter Charlene (Emerick) McClure, Brothers William Houck & James Houck, and sisters Barbara Bookwalter, Janet Houck, & Janice Statler.

At Sharon’s request there will be no funeral services. The family will hold a visitation at their convenience.
