Sharon M. Yeager, age 57, of Dry Run, passed away January 10, 2013 at Chambersburg Hospital. She was born April 28, 1955 in Middletown, PA to Samuel and Esther (Good) Keener. She was married to Jerry Yeager on August 3, 1974. Sharon loved Gods creation. She enjoyed church, family, music, gardening, crafts, farming, flowers, wildlife, snow, and the peace and joy that each of these represented. Sharons faith in Gods ability to work miracles was unwavering. Sharon attended the Upper Path Valley Presbyterian Church, where she was active in the choir.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry and their three sons: Scott L. (husband of Lori) Yeager of Greencastle, Jeremy A. (husband of Corinna) Yeager of St. Thomas, and Anthony L. (husband of Shelby) Yeager of Chambersburg. She has nine grandchildren: Esdon, Austin, Jeremiah, Kaitlynn, Colton, Anna, Noah, Nevin, and Briella Yeager. She is also survived by four sisters: Ruby Gochnauer of Manheim, Linda Tyson of Brownstown, Joanna Colby of Carlisle, Reba Shuman of Mt. Joy, five brothers: James Keener of Mt. Joy, Robert Keener of Shippensburg, Fred Keener of Orrstown, Paul Keener of Dry Run and Dan Keener of Lancaster, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Larry Keener.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, January 14, 2013 at Pleasant View Mennonite Church with Rev. Megan Boozer officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 till 8:00PM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Upper Path Valley Presbyterian Church for the Music Program, 16950 Main Street, Spring Run, PA. 17262. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave, Chambersburg, PA will be handling the arrangements.
