With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Shawn Allen Quinn, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 24, 2026, at the age of 53. Born on July 20, 1973, in Hagerstown, Maryland, Shawn was a graduate of Boonsboro High School, Class of 1991.
Shawn dedicated 13 years of service as a truck driver for Sealy, where he earned the respect of his coworkers through his strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to his job.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Joyce Ellen Roberts Holder; his children, Shawn A. Quinn Jr., Brady A. Quinn, Jaxon V. Quinn, Ty Smith, Briana Smith, and Skylar Smith; and his former wife, Ronni Quinn. Shawn was also a proud and devoted grandfather to Avery, Harley, Armani, Araelyn, Holland, and Kelton Jr, each of whom brought him tremendous joy.
He is also survived by his siblings, James L. Quinn, Jack A. Quinn, Felicee G. Harbaugh (Mark), Jeff L. Hardy, and Teri L. Snapp; along with many cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Charles Holder, and his sister, Michele M. Rutherford.
Shawn had a passion for sports and was a loyal fan of the Washington Commanders and the Baltimore Orioles, always enjoying the opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams with family and friends. He especially treasured spending time with those he loved. Whether he was cooking in the kitchen or tending the grill, Shawn took great pride in preparing his signature dishes for family gatherings. Known for his generous heart, listening ear, and willingness to lend a helping hand, he touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Shawn's life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
Shawn will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering love for his family, and the lasting impact he made on those fortunate enough to know him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.
