Susan "Sue" D. Rotz, 64, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, lost her battle after an extended illness on February 15,2024 at UPMC Montefiore, Pittsburgh. She was born on October 5, 1959 in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania to Ronald and Jean (Beck) Mowen. Susan loved spending time with her family and loved animals. Although dealing with severe mobility issues, she jumped at the opportunity to become the assistant manager at Moes, where she loved to work with family and friends and meet new people. She loved spending time in the kitchen, cooking and baking. She had a kind and caring soul, accepting everybody with open arms and always bringing a smile to peoples faces.

 

Susan is survived by her parents, her loving husband Harry R. Rotz, Jr., a son Anthony and wife Jennifer, a daughter Kelli and husband Kenneth Kutcherman, three granddaughters, six great-grandchildren and a brother Danny Mowen and his wife Kathy, as well as numerous extended family members that she loved and cared for. She was preceded in death by her brother Ronald Mowen Jr and sister Donna Coldsmith.

 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., Chambersburg. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. In honor of Susan, the family requests that everyone wear something green. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Susan's name may be made to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter.
