Tawna Lynn Stouffer, 64, of Metal Twp, Pennsylvania passed away November 26, 2022, at home. She was born on October 4, 1958, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania to Wilbur and Henrietta George. 
Tawna is survived by a son, John Thomas Stouffer, her sister Sherry Leach, a brother, Jerry Blain, and a nephew, Joshua Locke.    In addition to her parents, Tawna was preceded in death by a sister, Georgianna Locke, her lifelong friend and companion, Paul A. Clever, Jr.,, and her ex-husband, John Thomas Stouffer.

Tawna was one of four children and the youngest. She was the baby of the family and daddy’s girl. She grew up in Carlisle, Pa.  She and her 2 sisters were known as the gorgeous George’s. 

After high school, she worked at the Walnut Bottom Tavern in Carlisle, PA. She later moved to Mercersburg, PA, and worked on her brother in-law and sister’s dairy farm where she met her husband Tom Stouffer, and they had a son John Thomas. After her marriage she devoted her time to her family and their farm, they raised pigs and deer. 

She worked at Fresh Express, in Greencastle, PA as a produce scheduler for over 10 years. 
Tawna worked at American Legion Post 606 for the last 13 years, she had many acquaintances and some good friends. She will be missed 

She was a hard worker and would’ve given the shirt off her back to anyone in need. When family members feel ill, Tawna stepped up to the plate, taking care of her sister and mother, family came first.

She enjoyed gardening, motorcycle outings, and spending time out at the farm with her friends. She loved singing karaoke at the club. 

Her son was her world. She loved him unconditionally. 

Tawna is at peace now, no stress no worries.

A celebration of life will be held at American Legion Post 606, on January 15, 2023, time to be determined.
