W. D. Cooper Obituary

W.D. Cooper (Coop), age 76, of Fayetteville, PA, went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2022. He was born on October 5, 1945 to Millard and Gwendolyn (Traxler) Cooper. Never without his cowboy hat, Coop loved going to auctions and farm sales. He had many adventures with his mule drawn covered wagon. He enjoyed volunteering at Scotland bingo, spending time in his new shop, and visiting with friends. He worked construction jobs and was a farrier. He also had a hauling business called W.D. Cooper Work Horses and Mules. Coop was a loving and caring man to many.

Coop is survived and will be extremely missed by his sons Clint Cooper of Scotland, Cory Cooper (husband of Rachel), and grandson Jason, of Willow Hill, his niece Dawn Rachillo (wife of Brinton) of Fayetteville, his sisters Linda Baker of Orrstown, and Rose Hunter of Florida, and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Coop was preceded in death by his infant daughter April Marie, and brothers Millard Cooper, Jr (Pete), and Joseph Cooper.

A celebration of life service for Coop will be held at a later date. Services are entrusted to Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg. Online condolences may be expressed at www.kelsocorneliusfh.com.
