Wayne C. Heinbaugh, 94, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 29, 2026. He was born April 22, 1931, in Mercersburg, Pennsylvania to Rose Heinbaugh. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary L. Heinbaugh. He was married to his late wife for 75 years. Before her passing, they were able to celebrate their 75th wedding Anniversary. Together they had 4 sons: Wayne G. Heinabaugh, Dennis R. Heinbaugh, Alan D. Heinbaugh, and Gregory L. Heinbaugh. Wayne had eight grandchildren: Steven, Bradley, Daneen, Devyn, Darlanna, Kayla, Calvin, and Paige. Wayne also has many great grandchildren and was blessed to have great great grandchildren.
Wayne is a Veteran. He served in the Airforce for three years during the Korean War. He then went to work as an electrical mechanic for Letterkenny Army Depot, where he worked till he retired. Wayne was a member of First Church of God which later changed to Grand Point Church. He was always focused on providing for his family. He cherished close family moments as well as large family gatherings. He enjoyed the simple things in life, like always sitting near a warm fire, hunting, and tending to his chickens and favorite rooster. Wayne had a serious sweet tooth, always having a sweets supply close by. His favorites were black licorice, chocolate, and banana splits. Wayne had a smile that could light up any room, he will be remembered fondly and cherished forever.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 6, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Grand Point Church and visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Pastor Scott will officiate. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Wounded Warrior Project in memory of Wayne Heinbaugh.
