William C. Mankamyer Obituary

William C. Mankamyer, 84, of Shippensburg, PA, passed away October 3, 2025. He was born August 19, 1941, in Akron, Ohio, the son of Carl and Mary (Waran) Mankamyer.

 

William was a graduate of the Class of 1959 from Cuyahoga Falls High School, in Ohio. He was employed for 33 years as a Parts Manager for Temperature Control. William has been an advent bowler since 1961. He was involved with youth bowling at North Lanes (now Clutch Lanes) for around 12 years; from Youth Coach to League Secretary. He was part of the Summit County Bowling Association, Ohio Inter-City Bowling Association, and a member of the Tri-County Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 1993 . He was a member of The Harbor Church of the Nazarene (Shippensburg PA.)

 

William is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Wright), son Scott (wife Melissa); granddaughters Mary (Ally) Gutshall (husband Kyler), Mia Mankamyer and Avery Mankamyer; great-granddaughter Evelynn Gutshall; nieces Heather (Johnson) Lofdahl and Sara (Johnson) Merrifield.

 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Sally (Mankamyer) Johnson.

 

A celebration of life will be held on November 15th, at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Reverend Melissa Mankamyer. Service will be held at The Harbor Church of the Nazarene, 55 West King Street, Shippensburg PA.
