William Ross Raudabaugh, age 80, passed away September 18, 2015 at the Chambersburg Hospital. He was born January 9, 1935 in Mt. Rock, PA to the late Clarence Lester and Elizabeth (Dyarman) Raudabaugh. He married Mildred Shifler on January 1st, 1959. He was a self-employed masonry contractor and a member of the Chambersburg First Church of God. He played softball until 2013 with the Church of God team and the 50 and over team. He was especially proud of the church’s ballfield which he helped build and maintain. He spent many hours mowing the grass on the church property.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Dina B. Hammond, and son
Gregory R. Raudabuagh, and his wife, Marilyn. Four grandchildren, Lauryn R. Hammond, Taylour R. Hammond, Hannah K. Hammond, and Samuel G. Raudabaugh, all of Chambersburg. He is preceded in death by his brothers Clarence Regnal and Lester Sherwood Raudabaugh and son in law Eddy H. Hammond.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, September 24, at Chambersburg First Church of God, 2230 Grand Point Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Pastor R. Victor Shifler, nephew, will officiate with pastors Lawrence Metzler and Don Drury assisting. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave, Chambersburg, PA will be handling the arrangements.
